Dr. Cody Fang, MD, is a licensed Traditional Chinese Medicine physician at Chami Clinic in Taipei, Taiwan, specializing in internal medicine, pediatrics, and acupuncture. He integrates classical Chinese medical theory with modern clinical practice, providing acupuncture-based care for complex and chronic conditions, including oncology support. Dr. Fang is also an experienced educator and speaker, sharing his clinical expertise through professional webinars and continuing education programs for licensed acupuncturists.
This 4-hour live online webinar, “Rewriting Prescriptions with Needles: Classical Approaches Reimagined,”introduces Dr. Wu Xiong Zhi’s acupuncture system, a classical Chinese medicine approach that translates herbal prescription strategies into meridian- and point-based acupuncture treatments. Drawing from traditional theory and clinical reasoning, participants will learn how to reinterpret the therapeutic intent of classical herbal formulas through acupuncture when herbal medicine is limited or not appropriate. The course places particular emphasis on internal medicine and oncology care, providing licensed acupuncturists with practical, theory-driven methods grounded in traditional Chinese medicine principles.
Through this approach, participants will explore how the therapeutic strategies of classical prescriptions can be “rewritten” using acupuncture points and meridian relationships. The webinar is designed to strengthen clinical reasoning and expand practitioners’ ability to apply classical Chinese medical theory in acupuncture treatment.
